ELIGIBLE: Adults 18 years and over.
PRICE: Adults who have Medicare with no HMO will receive vaccination free with their identification number card. For all others, there is a charge of $39.00 for the influenza vaccine and $55.00 for the pneumonia vaccine, payable by check or money order) made out to SCDHS (NO CASH PLEASE). PLEASE NOTE The seasonal Influenza clinics will NOT offer immunization for H1N1 Influenza Type A, also known as swine flu at this time. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, H1N1 Type A Influenza vaccine will be made available in October to high-risk groups including pregnant women, children six months to 24 years of age, persons with health conditions that lower the body’s resistance to infection and persons who care for young children under the age of six months.
